OFFICIAL: Leicester winger Rachid Ghezzal joins Fiorentina on loan

Leicester City winger Rachid Ghezzal has officially joined Fiorentina on loan with option to buy.

Fiorentina’s right to purchase Ghezzal is believed to be set at €10m.

Leicester brought in the 27-year-old as a replacement for Riyadh Mahrez last summer.

He went on to score three goals in 23 competitive appearances for Leicester but fell out of favour once Brendan Rodgers became manager in February.

Prior to his spell with the 2015-16 Premier League champions, he played for Ligue 1 sides Olympique Lyonnais and Monaco.

Ghezzal’s arrival completes a busy deadline day for the Viola, who also brought in Pedro and Bobby Duncan.
