On this day in 2008, Oliver Kahn played his farewell game at Allianz Arena. The German will return to Bayern in 2020 to take over Rummenigge as CEO.
In 30th August FC Bayern announce that Oliver Kahn has been appointed in the board of directors on a 5-year contract starting from 1 January 2020. Kahn will then take over from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as CEO in January 2022.
