Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann has been named All Football Player of the Week.
Griezmann highlights our All Football Team of the Week and was selected as a competitive candidate in our All Football Player of the Week Vote, in which he casts the most votes beating Lewandowski, Insigne, Salah and Abraham to the award.
On his debut at Camp Nou, the French forward played a much higher tempo with two breathtaking goals (and one delightful celebration) and a supreme assist.
In the absence of Messi, Suarez and Dembele, Barcelona needed a hero when they were falling behind 1-0 to Betis, then Griezmann stood out to turn around the situation with two goals.
The €120 man is awesome and he has truly arrived. The highlight of his performance was his incredible linkup play with the midfielders and the full-backs.
Griezmann admitted after the match that he copied Messi for his second goal, perhaps he will copy Messi's role at Barca one day.
