Man United 'in talks with Juve over £15 million deal for Mandzukic'

Manchester United have made a move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic and are hopeful of sealing a £15 million deal early next week, according to reports.

United have been in negotiations with Juve for several weeks over a move for Paulo Dybala, which would see Romelu Lukaku head in the other direction.

However, Tuttosport have reported that Mandzukic is now also a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the club they could get him for as little as £10-15m.

Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici has been in Manchester to discuss the Dybala-Lukaku transfer and will now also look to push through a deal for Mandzukic before next week's deadline.

The 33-year-old lost his first team place to Cristiano Ronaldo last season but was still used frequently, scoring nine goals and making six assists in 23 appearances.

United have so far made just two summer signings, with defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and winger Daniel James joining from Crystal Palace and Swansea.

However, the club are hopeful of adding Dybala and Mandzukic to their squad, as well as sealing a deal for long-term defensive target Harry Maguire.
