OnThisDay in 1966, English football reached it's peak as Bobby Moore lifted the Jules Rimet trophy at Wembley after a 4-2 win over West Germany in the World Cup Final at Wembley.
This was England's first (& only) win since the tournament began in 1930.
Football came home!
