MLS present in the U20 World Cup final with Ismail Elfath

The US referee was assigned to the Grand Final of the U20 World Cup in Poland, in which Ukraine and South Korea will compete for the title.

The MLS will be present at the Under-20 World Cup Final, despite the United States youth team being knocked out from the Junior championship in quarterfinals against Ecuador, this because the American referee, Ismail Elfath, has been assigned as the ref of the grand final in Poland.

Americans Kyle Atkins and Corey Parker will complete the referee squad as assistants 1 and 2 with Thai, Zitouni Abelkade as the fourth referee, with Alan Kelly and Raczkowski Pawel at VAR in the final between Ukraine and South Korea.

This final will be the first one for the 37-year-old referee since receiving his nametag from FIFA in 2016; he has ref international tournaments such as CONCACAF Champions Cup as well as U20 Confederation Championship in 2017 and 2018.

It will also be Elfath fourth match in the Under 20 World Cup after whistling Uruguay vs Norway and Argentina vs Portugal at group stage, and also Italy vs Mali in quarterfinals.

A new U20 champion

Ukraine and South Korea are fighting for the World Cup crown in Poland; the winner will join the list of champions in the championship history.
