A thrilling 2018/19 season is done and dusted, While some players amazed the world, some, unfortunately, would be remembered for their poor displays. Here, All Football pick a squad for Flops of the Season!

Eleven starters are included with a manager and seven substitutes, and you can pick a captain for the Flops of the Season team below!

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Man Utd)

Oh, Ole. Where did it all go wrong?

Solskjaer has watched his team win just twice since the 3-1 win against PSG, with doubts increasing over whether he should have been given the job permanently.

Under his leadership, United had their sights set on a Champions League spot, but a tricky finish to the campaign meant they fell short, finishing sixth. A big summer looms.

GK: David de Gea (Man Utd)

We start with the worst. Mistakes against Barcelona, Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea compound with ongoing transfer rumours. Nowhere near good enough to be Man United No.1 in this season.

DF: Marcelo (Real Madrid)

The Brazilian has been the best in his position for many years but is currently out of form and out of favour at Real Madrid.

The reasons behind his struggles are varied, stemming from injury problems and weight gain to a potential loss of motivation.

DF: Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal)

When you tell a new football fan that Mustafi is a World Cup winner, he or she would quit watching the game right away. Seriously why couldn't he calm himself down in crucial moments? BACK ON TOP!

DF: Presnel Kimpembe (PSG)

It's Kimpembe again, this man should change his name to Own Goal...

Remember what Arsene Wenger said? Kimpembe was going to cost PSG, and it happened.

DF: Ashley Young (Man Utd)

Ashley Young stood in as captain for much of last season, but his performances didn't warrant a place in Manchester United, let alone the captaincy.

MF: Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona)

What went wrong for Coutinho? The €135m record signing for Barcelona finds his life difficult at Camp Nou and often fails to bring any impact to the game, including his Anfield return.

MF: Jorginho (Chelsea)

Brought in last summer to be the hub of 'Sarri-ball', Jorginho came under fire for his sluggish build-up play and opposing teams even started to target him.

Italian broke a record for most passes without an assist in the Premier League and that is certainly an unwanted one.

MF: Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

Clearly not Unai Emery's first pick in his starting line-up. Not used in big games and barely delivers when he plays. can't cope with pressure most of the time this season.

Where has he been? Five goals and two assists in 24 appearances aren’t doing that $650k-a-week pay packet any justice.

FW: Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)

As Iker Casillas can attest, successful and loyal service to Real Madrid is no guarantee of a little bit of sentiment from the club or your manager.

Since Zidane returned to the Madrid hot seat two months ago, Bale has completed 90 minutes just three times, Gareth was not afforded even ten minutes to say his goodbyes to the fans.

FW: Gonzalo Higuain (Chelsea)

Higuain was born offside? Still fails to get used to the rhythm and physicality of the Premier League. Oh wow, Maurizio Sarri said he would try hard to make him stay at Stamford Bridge.

FW: Alexis Sanchez (Man Utd)

Do you know how many goals Alexis Sanchez has scored this Premier League season? It’s one.

Do you know how many times Alexis Sanchez has selected in All Football Flops of the Month XI? It’s five.

ON THE BENCH

Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Thilo Kehrer (PSG), Eric Bailly (Man Utd), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Nemanja Matic (Man Utd), Paulo Dybala (Juventus), Mauro Icardi (Inter).
