The Real Madrid and Union Berlin midfielders battled it out online as their favourite darts players came head-to-head in the last eight of the world championship

Real Madrid's Toni Kroos is a very competitive personality, having won both the World Cup and the Champions League. As a result, he takes his sport very seriously - even when it is just as a supporter.

The Germany international showed his support for Dutch darts player Raymond van Barneveld as the five-time world champion faced legendary thrower Phil Taylor in the quarter-final of the World Darts Championship.

Kroos took to Twitter to cheer on van Barneveld, who last won the title nine years ago, writing "Come on Barney!" on his timeline.

However, Toni's younger brother, Felix did not share his backing of the Dutchman. The Union Berlin midfielder replied to the original tweet, backing Taylor as he wrote "Walking in a Taylor Wonderland. Come on power."

Not for the first time, the older brother had the last laugh as van Barneveld recorded a 5-3 victory to defeat his old rival and advance to the semi-final.

Van Barneveld will now meet Michael Van Gerwen in the last four, having knocked out 16-time champion Taylor with a competitive performance Toni Kroos would be proud of.
