On this day in 2016, Anfield witnessed that amazing win over Dortmund with Lovren's winner
A Europa League quarter-final tie may not have the immediate resonance of some of the Reds' more celebrated European triumphs, but their comeback against a much-vaunted Dortmund side on April 14 2016 was one of the most thrilling evenings in a generation.
The Reds headed into the game against Klopp's former side, with the tie finely poised from their 1-1 draw at Westfalenstadion in the first leg.
However, BVB started the brighter and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to current Arsenal duo Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang.
The Reds' prospects of a revival appeared slim at the break, before Origi gave them a shot in the arm three minutes into the second half.
Klopp's men were dealt another blow though when Reus slotted home shortly before the hour mark.
Liverpool needed three, with just over half an hour to play.
Coutinho conjured up a moment of magic, as he so often did, before Sakho gave them real hope on 77 minutes.
It was left to Sakho's centre-back partner Lovren to produce the all-important fourth as he converted James Milner's cross at the back post in stoppage time to complete the turn around.
On this day in 1999, Giggs scored one of the FA Cup's all-time great goals as Man Utd beat Arsenal on their way to the treble
It is 20 years to the day since Ryan Giggs scored a magical solo goal in an FA Cup semi-final replay against Arsenal at Villa Park in 1999.
Arsenal and Manchester United could not be separated when they met in the 1999 semi-final at Villa Park on 11 April as the Premier League's then top two played out a goalless draw.
But three days later the last-ever FA Cup semi-final replay would go down in history as a night of high drama.
Goals from David Beckham and Dennis Bergkamp either side of half-time had left the tie poised at 1-1.
Enter Ryan Giggs with 11 minutes remaining in extra time.
On this day in 1999, Arsenal youngster Guendouzi was born
Guendouzi started his career at the academy of Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 6. He left Paris to join Lorient's academy in 2014. After representing the Lorient B side, he was promoted to the first team in 2016.
On 11 July 2018, during the summer transfer window, it was announced that Guendouzi had joined Premier League team Arsenal for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £7m plus bonuses.
Guendouzi scored the first professional goal of his career on 4 October, rounding off the scoring in Arsenal's 3-0 away win over Qarabağ FK, a low drive from just inside the penalty area, following an assist from Alexandre Lacazette.
On this day in 2018, Man City on the brink of winning league title after beating Tottenham 3-1
It was a morale-boosting win for City after the disappointment of Tuesday's defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Jesus had put City ahead in the 22nd minute, racing onto Kompany's long ball and sliding a low shot past Lloris.
Just three minutes later, the France goalkeeper conceded a penalty, with a studs up sliding challenge on Sterling, although replays suggested it occurred outside of the box. Gundogan converted from the spot to double City's lead.
Against the run of play Christian Eriksen halved the deficit.
After the break City withstood a period of sustained pressure from Spurs, before Sterling hammered in the rebound from Jesus' shot to secure all three points in the 72nd minute.
