Kepa? Bale? Icardi? And who else? AF February Flops of the Month revealed

Another month has gone but some under-pressure players still disappoint football fans... Welcome to All Football’s February Flops of the Month as we pick a 11-man squad in which they fail to deliver last month.
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea)
Performance-wise Kepa has been more than acceptable but refusing to be substituted in EFL Cup Final has deeply hurt his reputation.
Currently dropped by under-pressure manager Maurizio Sarri, Kepa will have to fight very hard to win his boss - and also the fans - back.
DF: Kieran Trippier (Tottenham)
Some say he has turned into a striker after the World Cup as he becomes incompetent in defence but better at scoring goals - albeit to his own net.
An own goal against Chelsea has effectively shattered Tottenham’s Premier League title dream.
DF: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
The dark art of football includes professional fouls and deliberate yellow cards, but you’ll be left embarrassed if you don’t do it right.
Against Ajax, Ramos had a calamitous evening to forget when his plan to get booked on purpose was exposed by camera.
He now has his ban extended to two games, meaning that he would potentially meet the first leg of quarter final as well.
DF: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)
Chelsea were in crisis last month when they were beaten 6-0 by Manchester City and also when the Kepa saga took place.
Captain Cesar could be seen doing nothing to settle the Kepa situation on the pitch. What’s more, he had to be picked up by teammates when he lied down on the floor after EFL Cup penalty shootout defeat.
DF: Marcelo (Real Madrid)
The free fall of Marcelo is alarming and almost uneasy to watch as his day as Real Madrid first-choice left back looks over.
He played only three games out of eight in February but failed to deliver. A summer move to Juventus beckons.
CMF: Jorginho (Chelsea)
Jorginho recently broke a record for most passes without an assist in the Premier League and that is certainly an unwanted one.
His galloping penalty against Manchester City failed spectacularly and was widely condemned. Performance last month was not the worst but certainly under scrutiny.
AMF: Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona)
One thing is for sure, talent alone cannot bring you success at Barcelona, you need to cope with the pressure as well.
Coutinho did that well at Liverpool and was very uch enjoying himself there. But not anymore as he does not seem like himself anymore.
RW: Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)
Another Real Madrid player included here but this one is perhaps the most deserved.
Bale has been under-performed all season and thus lost his place in the starting line-up occasionally. But refusing to celebrate with teammates must have certainly crossed the line.
LW: Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City)
Except a goal against League Two Newport, recent below-par performances see Mahrez labelled as a flop signing of Manchester City this season.
He is restricted to warming the bench lately but Pep Guardiola chose to defend him by saying himself ‘is sad and sorry’ to leave him out.
FW: Alexis Sanchez (Manchester United)
Jesse Lingard was not fit enough to play but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to sub him on rather than Sanchez when injury-hit Manchester United played Liverpool.
That tells the story of Sanchez’s career at Red Devils and a starting opportunity came by against Crystal Palace but he was brought off at 77 minutes.
FW: Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan)
Should Wanda be added to the Flops of the Month squad?
Icardi was stripped of his Inter captaincy last month for his off-pitch behaviours including refusing to sign a new contract for a long period and holding the club hostage.
And his wife and agent Wanda never stops talking, which has led to much more malice aimed at the Icardi family.
MANAGER: Lucien Favre
Just one win in four in February from Borussia Dortmund saw Bayern Munich climb within three points behind the Bundesliga leaders.
To make the matter worse, Dortmund are dumped out of DFB Pokal and currently have a 3-0 deficit to Tottenham in Champions League Round of 16.
