All Football Coach of the Month (Feb): Pep, Solskjaer & Valverde among nominees

Hello Afers! Welcome to All Football Coach of the Month. We list the best coaches of Europe's top 5 leagues every month. 

Man City coach Guardiola, Man Utd interim coach Solskjaer, Barcelona coach Valverde, Bayern coach Kovac and PSG coach Tuchel are the five nominees for our Coach of the Month for February votings based on their excellent works last month.

Here are their main stats:

1. Pep Guardiola (Man City)

Guardiola won all the seven games with Man City in February, retaining EFL Cup trophy.

Man City won all the four Premier League games in February, cutting the gap on Liverpool down to just 1 point. The Citizens also defended EFL Cup title beating Chelsea on penalties and reached FA Cup last 8.

In Champions League, Guardiola's side came from behind to beat Schalke 3-2 gaining the first-leg lead in last 16 ties.

2. Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Man Utd)

Solskjaer maintained unbeaten to his Premier League start but lost to PSG in Champions League.

Man Utd enjoyed three wins besides Liverpool draw in Premier League last month, eliminating Chelsea to reach FA Cup last 8.

In Champions League, Solskjaer suffered his first defeat as Utd interim boss with Pogba to miss the second-leg in Round of 16.

3. Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona)

Valverde remained unbeaten last month, helping Barcelona reach Copa del Rey final.

Barcelona had a struggling time in the first days of last month but they increased their lead in La Liga to 7 points by the end of February.

In much-anticipated Copa Clasicos, Valverde's men knocked Real Madrid out to reach a 6th consecutive domestic cup final.

4. Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain)

Tuchel strode forward in Ligue 1 and beat Man Utd in Champions League.

17 point-led PSG won four Ligue 1 games last month after suffering first league defeat to Lyon and reached Coupe de France semi-finals.

In Champions League, Tuchel's warriors gained the first-leg lead by beating Man Utd in a 2-0 victory at Old Trafford.

5. Niko Kovac (Bayern Munich)

Kovac pulled Bayern back to Bundesliga title race with only 3 points behind leaders BVB.

Bayern Munich narrowed the gap on Dortmund down to only 3 points after winning three of the four Bundesliga games last month, reaching DPB Pokal last 8.

In Champions League, Kovac's side forced Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield but Kimmich will miss the second-leg.
