Welcome to All Football’s January Flops of the Month. Here, we pick a 11-man squad in which the players fail to deliver last month.
LAST TIME OUT...
Since it is the first edition of Flops of the Month in 2019, we are going to review All Football Flops of the Year 2018.
Some big names such as Loris Karius and Alexis Sanchez are of course included. Click to see: All Football Flops of the Year 2018: Lopetegui leads Karius, Sanchez & co.
And now, let's check who are the representatives for Flops of the Month in January. Don't forget to vote for the captain in the end!
GK: Robin Olsen (Roma)
Big things were expected when Olsen moved to Roma last summer after a successful World Cup campaign with Sweden.
However, Roma underperformed to an extent that their manager Eusebio Di Francesco was facing the sack.
Olsen should be one of those responsible after several error-prone displays, that latest one was in the quarter-final of Coppa Italia when they were thrashed by Fiorentina with a 7-1 scoreline.
LB: Marcelo (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid's Mr. Reliable Marcelo has been dropped to the bench by Santiago Solari in January due to some very below-par performances.
Marcelo started two La Liga games in which Los Blancos drew one and lost one, and later saw his place occupied by youngster Sergio Reguilon.
It is remarkable how things have changed at Real Madrid, considering that Marcelo has been outspoken about the team's performance but this time it's him who needs to deliver more.
CB: David Luiz (Chelsea)
The problem with David Luiz is that he does not like to do defensive work and thus tends to give the ball away cheaply or loses his position.
Chelsea have won just one of their last four Premier League games, and Luiz was particularly at fault when the Blues lost 4-0 to Bournemouth, as he gifted the balls the oppositions which lead to the goals.
Chelsea did not sign anyone in the January transfer window, so we can have at least half season to enjoy Luiz's defensive work.
CB: Naldo (Monaco)
Naldo gave up Champions League football with Schalke 04 for relegation dogfight with Monaco because of a call from Thierry Henry.
It's true that Henry has been sacked already, but Naldo's game display is under huge scrutiny too when he was red-carded seven minutes into his second Ligue 1 game.
Monaco lost 5-1 to Strasbourg eventually - and when Naldo returned after suspension, he received a red card again. Red carded and red faced.
RB: Kieran Trippier (Tottenham)
Trippier does not seem himself after such magnificent performance at the World Cup which saw England get fourth place.
While Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and co. are the star performers for Spurs this term, Trippier is rather struggling for form.
He was responsible for Spurs' recent 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in which he missed a penalty and saw his team eliminated from the FA Cup.
MF: Ivan Perisic (Inter Milan)
As the January transfer window has ended, Perisic fails to get his dream move to Arsenal after handing in a transfer request.
Now he has to fight back into the Inter team but Luciano Spalletti said that he wouldn't pick someone who does not want to be part of it.
Perhaps we should forgive Perisic, because it is Arsenal who do not have enough fund to secure his signing.
MF: Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United)
Fellaini has only played 28 minutes of football for Manchester United in January and the reason is simple: his direct style of play does not suit Red Devils any more.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer injects a new and free belief into the team which earns them eight wins and one draw, Fellaini becomes the notable casualty, however.
Solskjaer was quick to get rid of Fellaini, as the latter has already been sold to Chinese side Shandong Luneng.
MF: Cesc Fabregas (Monaco)
Fabregas is arguably Monaco's biggest signing ever, but he is yet to help them climb up the Ligue 1 table.
Sitting 19th in Ligue 1 table, Monaco parted company with manager Thierry Henry and left Fabregas bewildered with the decision.
Leonardo Jardim returned to the club but it is yet to see if Fabregas would be in his starting line-up in the future.
FW: Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
All of a sudden Chelsea's golden boy Eden Hazard becomes their own scapegoat, and the stats suggest the fans might have a point.
Hazard scored just one goal and provided just one assist in the seven games Chelsea played in January, as they drop to fifth in Premier League table.
Even their manager Maurizio Sarri, who earlier in the season said Hazard could become Europe's best player, demanded more from him by saying 'he can do more tactically'.
FW: Marko Arnautovic (West Ham)
Fans won't forget what you did, Marko. Arnautovic received serious interest from China and he was so tempted by big money he told everyone that he wanted to leave.
It's always a gamble with Arnautovic because of his temper so the Chinese side decided not to go for him in the end, leaving him in a dilemma.
West Ham wanted to keep him and signed him to a long-term contract, but his demeanour has already let all the fans down.
FW: Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona)
What went wrong for Coutinho? The €135m record signing for Barcelona finds his life difficult at Camp Nou and often fails to bring any impact to the game.
Fans are starting to turn against him and urges Ernesto Valverde to start new signings like Kevin Prince-Boateng or someone else.
Some wonder should he have stayed at Liverpool last year, he might as well lift the Champions League trophy - and also this season's Premier League - with the Reds.
MANAGER: Thierry Henry (Monaco)
We can't have anyone else other than Henry, seriously. The Monaco legend took charge in late October but is now sacked after just 20 games and two league wins.
It is reported that his relationship with several players hit a new low after he sent some first team players to train with the reserve team bacause he doubted their commitment level.
Monaco were so desperate that they reinstated former manager Leonardo Jardim's service after parting way with Henry.
